This is a way to receive a live larva in a kit with everything it will need to survive through its entire life cycle. This gives you the opportunity to watch the changes the Painted Lady undergoes as it grows, forms its chrysalis, and emerges into a beautiful butterfly! Then, after observing the amazing changes you can release it back into the wild!

Notice: Ideally, orders should be placed at least 4 weeks early to guarantee availability. We do, however, understand the need for last minute orders and can usually fulfill them. If rearing kits are needed in less than 4 weeks, please contact us before ordering to ensure availability.
Weather: Because the rearing kits will be kept inside they are available year-round. After the butterfly emerges, you can either release it outside (in which case the temperature needs to be at least 65°F or warmer) or you can keep it inside in a flight cage.
